Our Trustees

Stuart Roden
Chair
Stuart Roden
Stuart Roden brings over 30 years of experience in financial services. Until January 2019, he was Chairman of Lansdowne Partners, having previously co-managed its Developed Markets Fund from its inception in 2001. Stuart began his career in the City in 1984 and has held senior roles at SG Warburg & Co, McKinsey and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He is Chair of Unlocking Potential and is actively involved in a number of charitable and cultural organisations.
Stuart supports Unlocking Potential because he believes early, specialist intervention can fundamentally create better life chances for children facing disadvantage.

Brian Linden

Brian Linden
Brian was a founder partner of Cinven where he worked for 30 years and the founder of 2ndChance a charity helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their education and sustain employment. Following the merger of 2ndChance with Unlocking Potential in November 2016, Brian became Vice Chair of Unlocking Potential. Brian is also a trustee of Resources For Autism.
Brian works with Unlocking Potential because of his long-standing commitment to early intervention that helps young people build confidence, skills and lasting opportunity.

William de Winton

William de Winton
William de Winton is a retired member of Lansdowne Partners and a former Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. He spent much of his career following the financial sector. He sits on a number of charity boards and is a founding Trustee of Unlocking Potential. He is also a founding Trustee of the SpringBoard Bursary Foundation which is the UK’s largest boarding school bursary charity.
William supports Unlocking Potential because he believes that access to the right support at the right time can transform children’s educational and life outcomes.

Andy Cook

Andy Cook
Andy Cook is Chief Executive of the Centre for Social Justice. Earlier in his career, he founded and led an award-winning charity supporting disadvantaged and excluded young people across the Midlands. Alongside his role at the CSJ, Andy supports several charities and advises senior philanthropists, driven by a strong commitment to social change.
Andy works with Unlocking Potential because of its focus on reaching children at the earliest point, and providing meaningful support to prevent exclusion before challenges become entrenched.

Dolyanna Mordochai

Dolyanna Mordochai
Dolyanna Mordochai has over 25 years’ experience in leadership roles across the voluntary sector and local government. Her work spans education, health and social care, with a strong focus on supporting children and families affected by disability, trauma and exclusion.
Dolyanna supports Unlocking Potential because its work aligns with her commitment to equality, inclusion and creating long term systemic change to empower children and families impacted by disability and trauma.

Dr Jonty Clark, OBE

Jonty Clark, OBE
Dr Jonty Clark, OBE, has spent his career working in special education, supporting children with complex and additional needs. He is CEO of The Beckmead Trust and also teaches English to children living in the jungle in Bangladesh, furthering his deep commitment to helping promote learning and equality across diverse backgrounds.

Tatty Amory

Tatty Amory
Tatty Amory has over a decade of experience working in senior roles within children’s charities, across fundraising, volunteering and therapeutic programme delivery. Earlier in her career, she worked in the finance sector and spent three years in Romania supporting orphans and children living with HIV. She brings a strong mix of practical and international experience to the board.
Tatty works with Unlocking Potential because of its compassionate, hands-on approach to supporting children facing complex challenges whose needs are often overlooked.

Tom Bible
Trustee
Tom Bible
Tom Bible co-manages the Bondi Foundation, a US-based foundation supporting grassroots community initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa and inner-city areas of the US and UK. With a background in journalism, he is passionate about sharing human stories that inspire change. He also serves as a trustee of the Barrow Foundation UK.
Tom is aligned with Unlocking Potential’s belief in empowering children and families to build strength, resilience and long-term change.

Charlotte Warshaw

Charlotte Warshaw
Charlotte has had a varied career, including roles as an advertising executive at J. Walter Thompson, a solicitor at SJ Berwin, a full-time mother of four, and now a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. She holds a degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of St Andrews, a First in Psychology from the Open University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy. Charlotte works as a counsellor in a school and in private practice and recently stepped down from the Development Board of the National Theatre after 14 years.
Charlotte works with Unlocking Potential because it reflects her deep commitment to children’s emotional wellbeing and to early, therapeutic support.

Cassie Oakeshott
Cassie leads Unlocking Potential with over 30 years’ experience in therapy and leadership. A qualified Child Integrative Arts Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, she has built large-scale therapeutic programmes and multi-disciplinary teams. Passionate about post-traumatic growth, Cassie ensures children, families and schools remain at the heart of UP’s work.

Amelia Maling

Amelia Maling
Amelia brings 25 years’ experience in fundraising across the arts, education, and health. She secures vital income from trusts, foundations, and partners, driven by a commitment to equity and systemic change. A neurodivergent ally, she also champions mental health and nature connection.

Helen Twigg
Director of Safeguarding & Business Development
Helen Twigg
Helen oversees safeguarding, data, and impact at UP. With a career spanning frontline roles and senior leadership in charities, she combines operational rigour with a deep commitment to children’s safety and wellbeing.

Kofo Agbalaya
Family Support Manager
Kofo Agbalaya
Kofo leads UP’s Family Support Service, offering trauma-informed support to children and families. With 25+ years across local government, Childline and charities, she has a track record in service design, safeguarding and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

Lucy Freeman
Director of The Schools Programme
Lucy Freeman
Lucy, an Art Psychotherapist, has grown UP’s Schools Programme over six years, specialising in complex casework and leading therapy teams for children with additional needs.

Sasha Chipperfield
Head of HR
Sasha Chipperfield
Sasha leads UP’s People and Culture strategy. A CIPD-qualified professional with 14 years’ HR experience, she champions inclusive practices that empower staff to deliver exceptional services.

Tracy True
Finance & Resources Director
Tracy True
Tracy is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years’ financial leadership experience. Since 2016 she has strengthened UP’s operations, ensuring every pound is used transparently and strategically to maximise impact for children and families.
